take one woman with low self esteem, but quite good hair
add one moronic illness
stir in some medication which causes hair to fall out
mix it all up and this is what you get...

Since starting to document my life in September 2003, I've been on quite a journey. I left my job of 5 years and sold my home to move to London to be with my man. The two of us then moved to the West Country in July 2004, where he would embark on his new teaching job and I would claim to be on the lookout for a new direction.
After various unsuccessful attempts at a "career change", I would find a new job in January 2005 which was not so different from my old job, just with more responsibility, less money and considerably higher travel costs. The level of disillusionment, however, remained more or less constant. We bought a house from a man who turned out to be a deceitful, conniving bastard who then moved in next door to us. Thankfully, he will not be there for much longer.
I decided I would go back to what I thought I was good at and took a Diploma in French to English Translation. I passed two papers, but I still need to pass the third before I get the Diploma.
That's where I leave my story, for now.
In the near future:
I shall start trying to get translation work alongside my full time job. Eventually, I hope to earn a living from freelance translation alone but realise that this will take some time.
Big will start looking for a new job in September; a job which means we will not be so far away from everything and everyone. Because whilst being far away from everything and everyone has a certain appeal, the reality is that I miss my friends and family too much. It may take him a while to find the right job, but once he does, we will move again.
I thank you all for accompanying me on my journey of words which started there and ends right here.
I've told you why I need to stop for now. I will come back when I can be trusted to do so without using it as another stick with which to beat myself. It could be next week. Equally, it could be never.
